The Nor Cal Dragbike Association - 2012 Series
We are scheduled to run at the large spectator events in 2012 at Sacramento Raceway, with a possible fourth event to be added later. This will be a points series, but there is no fee to join.
June 16, 2012 – Funny Car Fever
August 4, 2012 – Famous Fox Hunt Nite of Fire
September 15, 2012 – Governor’s Cup
- 16 Bike field (only 16 tech cards will be sold). The first 16 bikes paid for go on roster, no exceptions. Tech cards are $100. Tech cards will be sold on a first come, first served basis. NO REFUNDS! Gate fees for RACERS are as follows: Saturday - $45 (two qualifying passes). Friday & Saturday – $60 (2 qualifiers on Fri and 2 on Sat). A list of entered bikes will be posted at the gate, and if any spots are available. Tech cards are handed out by NCDBA. (Gate fee includes vehicle fee of $20, RV’s are $40)
- We will be utilizing a .4 pro tree, a pro ladder, and qualifying will be based on reaction. Must have qualifying time to be placed on ladder. All 16 qualify with qualifying time run. Two alternates make time passes with the field, and if a qualified bike cannot make first round, first alternate pays $100 to that rider and takes their place on the ladder. Alternates must also pay gate fee to enter track. Our goal is to present a full field. Tech cards are picked up at main gate, and tech is administered by a track official. ANYONE RUNNING 9.99 OR QUICKER MUST HAVE A VALID NHRA COMPETITION LICENSE
- If a race cannot be completed due to time constraints, weather, or any other reason, it may carry over to the next day or event. If not, the prize pool will be split evenly between the remaining bikes. NO REFUNDS!
- Event Purse – First place $1000 – Runner Up $400 – Semis $50 (based on a 16 bike field, any less is pro-rated) Trophy to event winner, and embroidered jacket and trophy to year end points winner.
- Tech card fees will be collected and prizes and awards will be administered by Nor Cal Dragbike Association (NCDBA). The NCDBA is responsible for the dragbike program in its entirety. If you have any questions or problems, please speak to Michael O’Neil or Diego Zuniga before consulting a track official.
- Contingency sponsor decals must be on bike for the entire event to receive contingency prizes.
- Tech cards purchased in advance may be transferred, but NO REFUNDS will be given. If a tech card is transferred to another racer, it is your responsibility to collect the tech card fee from the tech card holder. Please advise NCDBA of transfer in advance, if possible to ensure correct name of racer is on roster.
- There is an ET cutoff of 11.99 seconds, and power adders are allowed (nitrous, turbo, nitromethane)
- NCDBA follows NHRA ET motorcycle rules, and NHRA Summit points system.
